The Sociological Association conducted the 6th lecture of the online lecture series under the topic “Global COVID -19 Pandemic and its Related Challenges to the Social Cohesion” on 12th March 2021. Dr Mohomed Mahees , Senior lecturer, Department of Sociology, University of Colombo was the guest lecturer of this event. This discussion mainly focused on addressing the ethnic and cultural issues related to COVID-19 pandemic and how it has affected the social harmony and cohesion in Sri Lankan society.
