The sociological association conducted an online lecture series regarding COVID-19 pandemic and its related social and cultural impacts. A guest lecture on “COVID-19 and Sri Lanka; Public Healthcare and Society” was conducted by the association as a part of this lecture series. Senior Professor Sujeewa Amarasena, the Vice Chancellor of University of Ruhuna participated as the chief guest of this event. Dr Amila Chandrasiri from the University of Melbourne was invited as the resource person of this lecture. He discussed the new public healthcare issues which originated due to the impact of COVID-19.
