The 2nd lecture of the online lecture series which was organized by the Department of Sociology and the Sociological Association was conducted by Senior Professor Sujeewa Amarasena, Vice chancellor of University of Ruhuna. It was held on 7th January, 2020. In this lecture he specified on points such as scientific background of coronavirus, how the coronavirus causes social impacts, how people should behave in this pandemic period, how we should change our regular behavioural patterns. He also spoke about the facilities available at the university to deal with this pandemic situation. It was successfully held with the participation of a large number of students and other academics.
