The Sociological Association of University of Ruhuna organized a panel discussion under the topic “Contemporary Political Crisis and Future of the Country” on 6th December, 2018. This discussion focused on the sudden replacement of “Prime Minister” position of the country and its related social, political, cultural and economic consequences. Dr Nirmal Devasiri, Mr Vidarshana Kannangara, Dr Harini Amarasooriya and Dr Dharshana Liayange were the invited panellists. The association conducted this event successfully and there was a large audience for this event.
