Biography:

Anne Jithma Jayasekara is a Lecturer (Probationary) in Social Statistics attached to the Department of Economics. She graduated from Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Ruhuna 2015. She got her primary and secondary education from Deniyaya Central College. She was a multitalented student in Art, Dancing, Language, Sports and with Leadership qualities. Because of that she participated as a delegate to the 5th University Scholars Leadership Symposium in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in 2014 representing Sri Lanka. She started her career path as a Trainee of Bank of Ceylon, Intern as Central Bank of Sri Lanka, as the Branch Manager in Colombo Institute of Research & Psychology and also as Temporary Tutor at Department of Economics, University of Ruhuna. As a young, energetic and enthusiastic academic member she likes to work in a progressive environment that offers enough challenges and opportunities to expand the knowledge and grow as a competent professional, while adding value to the University.
