Biography:

Chamini Thilanka is a Lecturer (Probationary) in Economics, attached to the Department of Economics, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka. She holds a BA (Economics) degree with a First-Class Honours and an MA (Economics) degree from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. She also completed the World of Japanese Contemporary Culture (WJC) Program at Fukuoka Women’s University, Japan under Fukuoka Women’s University Commemorative Student Exchange Program. She was awarded a number of scholarships and awards for the outstanding academic performances and the research skills. Prior to join the University of Ruhuna, she rendered her service as a Temporary Lecturer at the Department of Economics and Statistics, University of Peradeniya and a Junior Researcher at the Institute of Policy Studies of Sri Lanka.
