UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES

The undergraduate course leading to Bachelor of Arts consists of course modules to satisfy the basic requirements of a first degree in BA. Initially all the students are admitted to the first year first & second semesters degree program. Based on academic performance in the first year two semesters a limited number of students will be allowed to proceed to the four year special degree.

The medium of instruction in lectures, tutorials and laboratory classes in the program leading to Bachelor of Arts program is Sinhala/English, like in all other courses offered by the University of Ruhuna.

    FOUNDATIONAL COURSES

    There are compulsory and optional foundational courses. All compulsory foundation courses are three-credit. Student should take a minimum of two optional foundation courses during the first year,  at the rate of one a semester.
