Biography:

Samitha is a lecturer of sociology at University of Ruhuna. His research focuses on Social Development, Social Policy, Medical Sociology and the Modern Social Theorizing. Samitha’s recent research has involved a series of field studies relevant to localizing sustainable development goals into the south Asian context. His researches on social development in South Asia has appeared in several journals including EPRA International Journal of Social sciences. His current researches more often focus on Local Knowledge and Southern theory in relation to the social development of South Asian countries.
